Leveraging experience for growth
With a foundation of over 20 years in the field of social work, I bring depth and insight to social work supervision that fosters growth, reflection, and resilience.
Having worked across both urban centres and remote communities, I’ve navigated complex challenges around access, equity, and cultural responsiveness—always centering ethical, courageous practice.
About me
As a registered social worker and proud member of ANZASW and CDANZ, I’m driven by ethical practice, cultural integrity, and a deep belief in lifelong learning. My purpose? To empower others to thrive — in their mahi and beyond.
My background spans diverse, hands-on roles:
Mental Health & Disability Support
Family Court navigation & advocacy
Rangatahi-focused programme design & facilitation
Trauma-informed group work
ACC Sensitive Claims – survivor support
Work & Income advocacy – navigating entitlements
Practice Coordination – managing MSD contracts & leading teams
Career Development – supporting growth, transition & purpose
External social work supervision - 10 years professional experience
I hold a Bachelor of Applied Social Science, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, and postgraduate certifications in Professional Practice (supervision) and Vocational Rehabilitation. My therapeutic approach is further enriched by a practicing certificate in REBT, and training in professional social work supervision, ACT and Motivational Interviewing — bringing depth, flexibility, and evidence-based tools to my supervision and client work.
Guided by Values
Motivated by a deep commitment to dignity, equity, and self-determination. I practice with integrity, cultural humility, and a belief in the power of reflective relationships to foster growth and change.
Grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi, I work in ways that are culturally responsive, inclusive, and honour the lived experiences of individuals, whānau, and communities. My approach centres on ethical practice, social justice, and supporting people to thrive in systems that often require advocacy, navigation, and care.
